PN Residence

PN Residence is located on a 150-square-wah plot in the heart of Bangkok and was designed to reflect the personality and taste of its owner. The house is defined by the use of exposed concrete as the primary architectural expression. The client, who runs a tour business, was inspired by travels to Japan, where they were captivated by the raw beauty and quiet strength of concrete walls — simple in appearance, yet powerful in architectural presence. They wished to bring that same atmosphere into their own home.

The design emphasizes the strength, honesty, and simplicity of concrete, seamlessly integrated with spatial planning that meets the needs of a modern urban family. Large openings and open-plan living areas connect the house with natural light and greenery, creating an interior that feels both relaxed and warm. At the same time, the exposed concrete façade presents a bold and distinctive identity, embodying the owner’s strong sense of individuality and refined taste.

PN Residence is thus more than just a house — it is an architectural statement that reflects the owner’s character and inspiration drawn from travel, blending contemporary design with authentic materials to create a home that is understated, elegant, and truly unique.

The interiors are designed to create a seamless dialogue with nature, while offering a refined and contemporary living experience. The living room opens fully with floor-to-ceiling glass panels, blending indoor and outdoor spaces into one continuous flow. A sculptural spiral staircase becomes a striking architectural centerpiece, introducing a sense of movement against the raw strength of concrete.

In more intimate spaces, such as bathrooms and small lounges, the use of natural greenery and daylight establishes a refreshing and tranquil atmosphere, while warm wood accents add a touch of comfort. The study and dining areas open directly to garden views, enhancing both productivity and relaxation with a sense of calm.

Materials such as timber, stone, and exposed concrete are harmoniously combined to craft interiors that are simple yet powerful. More than just functional spaces, these interiors reflect the owner’s individuality and lifestyle — a home defined by beauty, serenity, and a deep connection to nature.
